I have been a film buff since childhood. I remember vividly my first experience as a moviegoer, seeing "101 Dalmatians" for the first time on a big screen. I was at the same time fascinated and scared to death of Cruella De Vil!
FLASH FORWARD 20 years later: I work as an artist in 2D animation. I do many things: layouts, storyboards, design... During those years , I learn the basic techniques of storytelling by designing scenes visually and understanding the juxtaposition and sequence of shots.
That knowledge comes in handy when I start to make my films. Before a shoot, I always draw a storyboard and meticulously plan every shots and angles in order to construct a clear visual progression of the story.
I have taken many classes in screenwriting, been coached by excellent teachers, read dozens of books on the subject and participated in many screenwriting workshops. So far, I have written two feature films and too many shorts to count. And I have many stories in development.
I enjoy and can tackle any aspects of film making: the preparation, the cinematography, the sound mixing in surround, the editing and the colour grading. Also, being a musician, I love to write my own music for my films.
The next natural step for me is to do a feature film.
That is inescapable. Like the end of a movie.
